Ranchero Mark West - end of Oct. - almost raining - completely wonderful!

This section used to be a Christmas tree farm.

Mark West Creek

Such dim light at mid-day - sometimes my flash went off!

Someone who likes the dim, damp redwood forest!

This redwood grove was restored - trees like this are around 30 years old. They grow quick here!

At the top of the hill, some amazing manzanitas!

Rocks and roots, all twisted and covered in lichen.

Down in the creek bed, a quartz-mottled rock stood out from the rest.

The sun almost came out by the time we got back down the hill.

Willow reflection

No wind, no ripples - just a mirror for redwood, oak, and willow trees.
And my notebook full of praise for the hills, trees, canyons, and creeks!

"Speed limit Warp 7" lol.

Nice looking place. Too bad it sounds like it's private property aside from day tours - would be a nice place to have an event I'm trying to plan next fall!
